Hey there, my name is Sarah
Stay at home mum to two little legends, Odin and Kayce and the gal behind Golden Daze.
I first picked up a camera to bottle up all the messy, magic moments with my crew, driveway skate sessions, living room dance parties, salty afternoon swims, sandy bums and countless homemade pizzas. The little things that feel like nothing at the time but end up being absolutely everything.
Now I get to do the same for other rad families, capturing real life as it is, chaotic beautiful and totally you! I’m all about finding the magic in the mundane and chasing those golden everyday moments that tell the real story
My Process
1.booking
You reach out, I get excited and we start planning your session! Once we’ve locked in a date, I’ll send through your invoice. A small deposit is due within 48 hours to secure your spot in my calendar.
2.session planning
This is where the magic starts to build. After you’re booked in I’ll send you a little questionnaire to get a feel for your vibe, your people and what you’re dreaming up for your session. We’ll lock in a location (if we haven’t already) and you can always message me if you’ve got questions, ideas or just want to chat it through.
3.Picture time
Your remaining balance is due in full before the day of your session. Then the fun part! We meet up, hang out, have a laugh and create some really beautiful moments together. No stress, no stiff posing just good energy and golden light. Then we say goodbye until the next step.
4.Delivering photos
I go through all the magic we created, carefully select and edit your images and get everything back to you within 2–3 weeks. You’ll receive a private online gallery where you can download, relive and keep your photos forever!
FAQ
Do you travel for photoshoots?
Absolutely! I am a mandurah based gal so most of my sessions happen in and round my costal bubble but I'm always up for a mini adventure and happy to wander a little further for the right vibe.
If your dream spot is a bit of a drive there might be a small travel fee added, nothing scary just enough to cover the extra KM's
How Many Images will we recieve?
You'll receive a full gallery of beautifully edited images. No need to choose favourites, you get the whole story and no silly hidden costs, I promise!
How long does it take to get our photos?
Galleries are typically ready within 2-3 weeks. They are delivered via an online gallery thats easy to download, share and keep forever.
If you're needing your photos back by a certain date just let me know before booking and we can have a little chit chat to see how we can make that happen for you.
What if the weather is bad?
If the weather isn't playing nice, we can reschedule or pivot to a different plan, no stress.
Can i reschedule if needed?
Life Happens and sometimes things don't go to plan (especially with little ones) If something comes up or someone's under the weather just flick me a message as soon as you can and we'll find a new date that works for everyone.
What if my kids dont want to cooperate?
Honestly thats completely okay. Kids are meant to be wild, wiggly and wonderfully themselves. Some of the best moments come from the chaos and I never expect kiddos to sit still and smile so you don't need to stress, promise.
Can extended Family join?
Got a few extra favourites you'd love to include? I'm all for it!
My standard sessions are designed for immediate family only but if you'd love to include grandparents or the whole extended crew I offer a dedicated extended family packages to make sure everyone get their time in front of the camera. If a few extras faces decided to jump in on an already planned session an extended family fee can be added on, easy peasy.
do you pose us?
Not in the stiff stand here and smile kind of way. I'll gently guide you when needed and throw the odd fun idea out but mostly I let you just hang out and be yourselves while I capture the good stuff. It's super laidback, go with the flow and child led when the kiddos are involved because thats where the magic usually lives.
Can I keep my gallery private?
Of course! My session fees are priced with the understanding that I may share a handful of images from your session on my website, social media or in my portfolio. That said, I completely understand that every family has different comfort levels when it comes to sharing photos online. If you’d prefer faces not be shown or would like your gallery kept completely private, just let me know before your session and we can chat about what feels right for your family, no problem.
